ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant)

I had not previously heard of this brand, but Amazon's great price made it hard to pass up. I purchased this generator for home emergency purposes. I Ordered it on Sunday night and received it on the following Thursday. There was no visual damage to the box that would indicate rough handling by the shipper. However, upon removing the generator from the box there was minor damage to a couple of items (nothing that would prevent operation). I called the manufacturer and the representative politely agreed to replace the items.
The generator does not come with a battery for the electric starter. The manufacturer's representative stated that it required an Everstart ES12N94B1 battery, which I found at Wal-mart. After adding oil and a little gas the generator started right up with only three easy pulls (I had not installed the battery at that point). The generator started so easy, in fact, that I am considering taking the battery back and not using the electric starter. This generator appears to be of good quality and at this point I am completely satisfied with the product.

ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant) Review

generator was delivered today. It took about 30-45 minutes to assemble the
wheels and etc.
I am very impressed with the quality and ease of assembly.
I have had numerous standby generators and this one ranks very high as
far as quality. It started on the first pull, also very quiet compared
to coleman generators.Also you may want to check the tightness of all bolts.Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).

Live in Clear Lake City ( between Galveston and Houston)and Ike( the Hurricane) took the power away on Friday Morning around 1:30 AM. Once the wind was down and my neighbors could get out into the weather without worring about projectiles, they got out the new generator, added the oil and gasoline. On the third pull it started. It has run 7 days without stopping, well shutting it down to to fill it up with gasoline. What was good about this model is that it has 4 ea. 120 outlets, and I was able to share with a neighbor. Also, was suprized that it was running over 10 hours before having to refill the tank. The only problem that I had is the generator just shut OFF own it's own several times with plenty of gasoline. Only took one pull to start it back up, after turning OFF the breaker and the KEY. Loaning it out to a friend that still does not have a generator. Have three neighbor that are going to look into getting them one. Also, they like the deal that I got with Amazon.com. It is not on right now. It was delivered to my house with a truck that had a lift and a dolly to get it to the garage, I was at work and the wife (66) could not help with this.

I purchased this about a month ago and love it. First, the price was right compared to other generators. Second, it is computer friendly with total harmonic distortion of less than 5%. When I received it, it comes without a battery, it started on the first pull. I picked up a battery at Napa for less than $30.00. The auto throttle feature is nice and it is well thought out. Oh yes, it is made in China.Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).

ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant) Best Quality

Wow, this is a large generator, 29"W x 28"H x 30"L with wheel kit installed. The unit looks just as pictured. Very happy with the shipping, unit was delivered by ABF without a scratch. They had a lift gate and a cart to move the unit right up into the garage. First order of business was to place the wheels on the unit, this proved to be simpler then I originally thought. I cut the box off of the unit and tilted the unit up on it's side and placed the wheels on with the provide brackets and bolts. I had the unit ready for gas in about 30 minutes of delivery. Oh, but not so fast, I had other work that was required before I would put this baby to the test. My next purchase from Amazon was the GenTran 301660 30 Amp 6-Circuit Transfer Switch for up to 7,500-Watt Generators. Well, I just finished the connection of this unit to my home. It proved to be simple, but if you have no electrical experience I would recommend you get a professional electrician, balancing the loads is important and may be beyond the normal do-it yourselfer. So today I fired this baby up. I added oil and a little gas and flipped the switch and within 2 cranks this unit was running. I let the unit stablize for about 5 minutes and then I connected my 30 AMP cord to the Transfer Switch and turned on the breaker and transferred my home circuits to the unit. I noticed that my A-Phase was pulling about 3750 Watts and B-Phase about 750 watts. I was confused on what was going on because I was sure that I had balanced my loads. After further investigation I realized that my wife had the washing machine going, although the unit was operating with this large difference on the phases it was holding the load just fine! The rest of the house lit up just as if we had never lost power. I ran the unit for another 15 minutes and turned off the loads. I then turned off the fuel valve and allowed the generator to run out the fuel in the bowl and line. I use STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer in my tank so I'm hoping it's good for a year. Well, this baby seems to work perfectly, the real test will be when we have one of those ice storms or those hurricanes that we here in Virginia always look forward too. Now I need to look into stockpiling some gas. :)

I noticed that in another review on this unit that there was a complaint on the location of the pull cord. I took a note from reviews of the smaller unit and drilled a hole in the frame located directly in line with the pull cord and fed the cord through there and placed a grommet in the hole. Works superb, best $.50 I ever spent. My cord is now located right below the on/off switch. I highly recommend this small enhancement because as the previous reviewer said it is in an awkward place.

Pros
* Price$$$$ + NO TAX
* Shipping - FREE!!!
* 8250 Watts surge, 7250 continuous
* Could not find a better price when I combined the 3 criteria above
* Fuel Gauge on the unit
* Low oil shutoff
* Hour meter
* Wheel Kit included

Cons
* My engine is stamped as a 13HP opposed to 14HP listed by Amazon
* Unit is loud, but Amazon does state this (85db)
* Battery not include (I'll do without, one less item to maintain)

Just received this yesterday shipped via CEVA which I had no complaints with. Took about 30 min. to put together. My pannel looks some what different then whats on the web site. I have a key to turn it on instead of a toggle switch. Also where you see a auto throttle toggle, I have a 12V socket. Must be because they (ETQ) just made the auto throttle automatic because I don't know why you would ever want to turn that off anyway. The 13HP verses 14HP doesn't bother me a bit. You'll save on fuel. I am going to the hardware store to get a grommet for the pull cord. That was a great idea. I also couldn't figure out what the miniture looking coat hanger was for. Then it hit me. It goes between the bars on top of the unit so you can lift it up in a truck with a portable crain if you wish. Good luck trying to manual lift in your truck. Better have two big men and a boy. Didn't have time to fuel and oil up but will try and do it today. This generator is made very well. I looked at the Briggs and Stratton over at our local huge hardware store that was a 5500W and they wanted 799.99 + Tax. There is a huge difference in the way they are built. The Briggs just looked cheap with thin 1" square frameing and with the cheap plastic lawn mower wheels. Im telling you this TG8250 is a beast. Im so glad I decided to wait and get this one instead of the Briggs. I lost power Sept 14 here in Fairborn Ohio because of remnents of Ike with 35-80 mph winds for 5 days and 5 hours. 300,000 lost power. Im never going through that crap again. ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant) Buy Now

I have had the generator about 4 weeks now. Nothing tricky about the set up. Actually comes with wrenches and other tools. Manual's illustrations are poor. Technically the output runs at 63.4 hertz and 127/246 volts unloaded. The DC battery charge voltage is too high at 16.5 VDC with a battery attached. The fact that the output neutral is attached to the generator frame prevents the safest way to interface the generator to the transfer switch.

I only bought it because I want backup power for the house to run the heater fan, lights, TV and refrigerators for a reasonable price. ($660). Electric start is a nice feature. Weather here is warm but starts up after 3 seconds of cranking. Has a nice fuel filter in top of gas tank. For the price I doubt it will last to long with heavy uses. By the way the company's web site is not kept up but if you call them they will e-mail PDF copy of the manual with same poor pictures. I can't recall but landing the battery positive cable on the solenoid is not called out clearly.

It is clearly not a brand name with third part support like propane or natural gas conversions kits. Service is probably going to be a problem because only they have two or three depots and that requires trucking and I am sure that could eat into the bargain basement price.

Overall I think I got a bargain with the free shipping from AMAZON.Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).

I recived the generator about 2 weeks after the order, much quicker than I expected since they were backordered.

Fit & Finish seem very good for the price. I have purchased 3 other generators, including a Honda. I don't believe the quality is any less than you would expect for a "low" price generator.

Starts easy, somewhat loud but it does have the largest motor I own. I am quite satisifed with this purchase. I can now rest easy that I have enough power to take care of the complete house.

The manual is almost adequate, there is not text explaniation for installing the battery leads. The neg is easy since it is ground, but the connection to the selenoid is not shown adequately, and it is not evident from any terminal waiting for the lead.

Overall I am very happy with my investment, I can sleep nites through our Ohio winters and know I am ready to replace grid power any time it goes out. I had an electriction prepare the circut box for grid disconnect, only a professional should dok this level of electrical work. It will make or break your emergency success.

I read all the reviews before I purchased, but felt I was willing to take a chance with a few dents or cheap quality for the price, since I am only planning on using this in emergencies. When it arrived, I was very pleasantly suprised. No damage whatsoever and the quality looked very sturdy to me. I used to own a landscape company for years and have used many generators and this seemed to be as nice as any. Heavy Duty construction! I filled it with gas and oil and it started on the first pull. I do agree a little modification to the pull rope would make it a little more accessible, but it started on one pull so I can deal with that. I may buy a battery for it anyway. I ran it for about a half hour and plugged in some appliances. It ran everything fine, ran smooth and really much quieter than I expected. Overall, I think this generator is going to do exactly what I intended and more. This is a great generator for the price. I was a little skepticle of buying a foreign generator but I gave it a shot after reading the reviews.
I am very impressed with the quality of this generator for the price. [...] with free shipping. Can't beat that for this size generator.
Steel gas tank not plastic.Rugged frame and non flat wheels
Assembly was simple.Installed the battery terminals. The positive connects to the unprotected nut on the starter seliniod directly behind the nut with the rubber boot.I bought a battery at walmart Everstart ES12N94B1. Filled with 33oz oil. Put fresh gas in the unit with stabilizer.
Turned on the fuel petcock chocked the carburator and started right up. after a minute pushed chock in and the motor ran geat.
The best feature that I like is the Auto Throttle (Only found on expensive generator). It idles the engine at a low quite idle when the demand on the generator is low this saves gas. Engine noise is not bad under loaded conditions.
Also the customer service is geat at Eastern Tools Inc Ohio. I would like to say that this chinese generator with a Lifan engine is a great generator for the price.It is manufactured by chongqing-am-pride power machinery division. Same manufactuer that makes Powermate(Colman) generators. I attached a link below to the Chongging Eastern tool connection.

While I was not familiar with Eastern Tools products, this 8250 watt generator seems to be a quality and versatile piece of equipment. I bought this generator for my electrician son. He loves it as he often is at a location with no power and this generator can not only power his tools but also provide electricity needed to check panel service at a house or office. It is heavy but the wheels and handle allow for easy movement. I think it would be more than a 2 man lift (into a truck), but he is able to simply wheel it onto his open trailer, cinch it down, and go.Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).

Low Price ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant)

I just recieved my TG8250 last week - there was a problem with the wheel not having the center needed to mount it correctly to the axle. Sent an E-mail to Eastern and their person reponded the Monday after the Thursday I sent the message, and was very nice with prompt action.

As someone else had written the manual is preety poor quality lacking in clear instructions, photos and illustrations. No info that is useful was provided in the manual so I had to ask Eastern what to use. They should add that info about the Walmart battery number, as well as Interstates number, or other battery mfg numbers, to help the customer be able to find one as easily as possible.

Otherwise after filling with oil and gas the first start went very smoothly. It started easily and the outputs on my unit were ok. The added feature of auto throttle worked great and am anxious to test the output quality as to Eastern's claim of cleaner power for electronics.

Ran well and most importantly very quiet in comparsion to my neighbors around me and their generators.

We ordered this large generator for emergency back-up. Living in Kansas can mean ice storms or tornadoes! Our generator was delivered a day earlier than the estimated receiving date. Carrier was ABF and service was excellent! The generator was received in perfect condition and was as described by Amazon.com. The final assembly was easy. Added gas and motor oil and started on the second pull! I am impressed by having the automatic idle control and also the circuit breakers and engine running time meter. I have not had to use for emergency yet, but have started weekly to test. Also, we ordered the large generator cover. The cover was very easy to fit and install. Over all, we give this unit a 5 star rating.

Cheapest ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant)

Living in north central Arkansas, we have our fair share of power outages. Just last year alone the power was out a total of 18 days. (Tornado, ice, flood, snow, and a hurricane) When we had the big ice storm this year (lost power for 8 days) I decided to finally buy a generator. I looked for a few weeks and I stubbled on this one. Our house is a fully electric house and we needed a big generator.

I bought this generator and it took about 3 days to receive it. It was shipped in its oringal box and had a few little holes from shipping. I opened the box and found nothing was damaged. It took about 30 mins to put the tires and the handle on. I bought some gas and oil and it started on the first pull. I ran it under load for a few hours to break it in and didn't have one problem with it.

I had an electrican hook it in to my house using a transfer switch. I decided not to use my elecric heat so I bought a 5 burner heater. I can run almost everything else in my house and not even put a strain on the generator. We run all the lights, 4 TVs, 2 dish receivers, 4 ceiling fans and 2 computers. When we need hot water we shut off most of the TVs and lights, turn on the hot water heater, and take showers. (My hot water heater uses 4000 watts)

If you are looking for a generator this is a great buy. I would highly recommend this!!

Cheap ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant)

I ordered and received my generator within 2 days (best delivery speed I have seen yet for standard delivery). The delivery (USF Holland)left a little to be desired. The driver and I had to manhandle the 257lb hunk to the ground from the semi trailer (no tommy lift). He did have a 2-wheel cart to move it where I wanted once unloaded. The only external damage noticed was a little scuffing on the bottom of the box from scooting (loading and unloading).
I unpacked the unit by myself by tipping the box 4 different ways in order to pull the bottom flaps out from under the box. I then lifted the box off the top. It appeared the unit was packaged adequately for short trips but would not withstand any abuse. Could have stood to be insulated with sidewall packing which was non-existent. There was no damage noted once inspected.
As others have stated, the handlebar and wheels were assembled in about 30 minutes. Tools are provided with the unit but not the exact sizes necessary. I got my own metric tools out for the actual assembly. I filled it with oil and gas, turned the fuel valve on, turned the start switch on and began the start-up process.
The start-up did not go as smoothly as others have stated. I pulled approximately 20 times with the choke set at different positions. It did not start. Being tired, I left it for about 10 minutes and came back to it. One pull and it started but it ran rough. I let it run for about 5 minutes and shut it off, waited a couple of minutes and tried starting again. It did not start after about 10 pulls. I removed the air filter and pulled once and it started (don't run it without the air filter) and immediately shut it off. I decided the choke was not set properly and adjusted it. I still need to adjust it further since I still have to hold the choke open manually for it to start on the 1st pull. I regapped the spark plug as it was set a little too close. I installed a battery (Everstart ES12N94B1 from WalMart) in order to make the starting easier until further adjustments. I did rotate the pull starter CCW by one mounting screw set in order to make the pull rope more accessible. Others have suggested a through-the-frame add-on design with a grommet...I'm not quite there yet. If the battery holds up well, I may not go for that design.
Once running, I checked the low idle voltage output, which was 83 VAC. I thought that was too low for initial electrical loading and adjusted the low idle arm adjustment on the side of the carburetor so the output was about 110 VAC, fairly stable. I didn't want my equipment trying to start up on low voltage. The high idle voltage was about 123 VAC, fairly stable. I am assuming the hard starting, running rough and low idle were due to factory adjustments made in different atmospheric conditions than mine (China??). The conditions here were about 80 degrees with about 60% humidity. Warm but not excessive...not sure if these conditions were the difficulty but it appeared that way. No modifications to internal workings were undertaken in the adjustment process. I still do not have to choke the carb in order to start the engine. I may have to during winter conditions. The battery obviously made starting much easier.
The pictures in the manual associated with attachment location of the positive battery cable is vague. On my unit, it was the uninsulated post of the solenoid nearest the engine. Negative connection is clear enough. I noted the charging output to the battery within 2 minutes after starting was about 15 VDC. I did not run the unit very long after installing the battery. High charge output to the battery may reduce battery life...to be seen.
Since I am mechanically inclined, I am satisfied with the generator at this point. I doubt I could have found one made this well for the price (adjustments not withstanding). It is mounted onto a very sturdy frame and the handle bar is of good length and girth in order to provide adequate leverage for easy relocation.Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).

Buying ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant)

Although I never heard of this brand, the product reviews put my mind at ease. In comparison with name brands at Lowe's and Home Depot, I got about 2,000 additional Watts for the same price!

As soon as I received the generator, I added gas and oil, and it started on the second pull! (The first one was really slow to make sure the coil wasn't hung up). I recently used it during a power outage. It did the job as advertised! (And it started on the second pull as well!)

In an ideal world, I would have liked to have had a Watt meter on it so I could tell what my load is. I've pretty much calculated everything in the house, so it isn't that big of a deal.

One wheel had a dead spot. I called the company, and they told me to send them a copy of the receipt, and they'd send me a new wheel right away.

I would recommend this product to anyone!Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).

Buy ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant)

I'm 54 and have been around mechanical equipment all my life. First impression of this generator, which is made in China, is the quality of the components and construction are equal to anything I've seen. Assembly of the wheel/axle and handle is very easy. You do need to put the axle/wheels on BEFORE putting in any oil and gas as you have to stand the generator on end to be able to assemble. I cut the box vertically on all four corners when opening and laid down all four sides. This created a cushion and non-scuff surface when standing the generator on end. It is heavy enough (216lbs) that having a second person to help stand it on end is a benefit.

I followed the instruction and check points. Put in oil and a little gas, ran a 12AWG ground wire from the ground post on the generator to a copper ground rod, turned on the fuel valve, opened the choke and pulled the starter handle. It was running before I even completed the first pull!! I do agree with some of the other reviewers that the positioning from the factory of the pull handle is a little awkward but this thing started SO EASY that I consider this a non-issue. I bought an Everstart battery from Walmart ($30) but have elected to not activate nor install it in the generator at this time. I starts so easy with the pull rope that the battery seem almost a waste but I guess in an extended power outage where you're refilling the tank multiple times and re-starting, the electric start will be convenient.

I don't have a DB meter so I can't confirm whether it meets the advertised noise level of 70 DB at 7 meters, but I walked in my house while it was running and I couldn't hear it. I suspect that in the middle of the night with no appliances running in the house you'd be able to hear it, but it wouldn't be much. Standing within 10 ft. of it, you can easily carry on a conversation but it is a generator and it makes noise.

I ran a short test by plugging in a 110V window AC unit I have in my garage using a heavy duty extension cable. As expected it ran perfectly but this small AC is not much of a test for a 7,000 watt generator. I have wired a 240V plug/transfer switch to my main breaker and my intent is to power my whole house (selective circuits only, obviously) so I don't have to deal with extension cords. I wish I had an oscilloscope to be able to check ETQ's advertised <%5 total harmonic distortion, but I don't. The test will come IF I decide to try and run my PowerMac during an outage.

The unit has an Auto Idle on/off switch. I was hoping that this feature would vary the engine speed based on electrical load but after thinking about it, that's probably not possible. What it does do however is if the generator has NO load (i.e., zero watts), it will slow the engine to an idle which will likely save considerable fuel. I'm not sure the benefit of this feature on a unit this size because anyone buying one this big is probably going to run more than simply a refrigerator/freezer which does cycle on and off. I bought this size generator because I have a heavy duty 240V grinder pump in my lift station (sewer) and I want to be able to run it simultaneously with other things. Fan's lights, small TV, coffee maker occasionally, etc. For me, I can't see a even moment when there would be no load on the generator.

It has a built in hour meter, a fuel gauge on the gas tank and even came with a small toolkit (for assembly) and a specialized bracket for lifting the generator with a crane, cherry picker, etc.

I did a fair amount of research before electing to buy this unit but for $649 plus local tax, if it provides years of service which I feel it will, this was an incredible price for this size generator. I didn't buy it through Amazon only because I ended up finding it at a local Northern Tools + Equipment and surprisingly for a better deal.

As you can imagine from my review, my first impression is a first class product in construction and components and you can't begin to find any other brand 7,250 watt generator (8,250 surge) for this price.Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).

Order ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant)

I purchased this generator as a replacement for an older 5KW Coleman. I have a backup inverter arrangement to run our house during power outages (10 select circuits) and use the generator to charge the batteries. This system was installed 10 years ago because of regular outages (sometimes 6 days) in our rural community. We are on well water so it became a necessity to have power backup.

A couple months ago we had a branch transformer fault. I did not anticipate that we would have a surge on the neutral/ground leg and lost my battery monitoring system and also later would find out that I had suffered battery damage to one of the eight in my system. Two weeks ago we had an outage and I found that the damaged battery had pulled all of the batteries down. I started up the generator and it failed after a couple of minutes. I maintained the generator every other month but had not noticed the hoses were beginning to rot from age. After repairs I did get it to run.

I decided to get a new generator (mothball the old one) and began searching for something that could handle the inrush on my 3/4hp water well in case of battery problems.

The reviews here were very helpful. I never heard of the model before, but the specs were excellent for the price. I ordered the ETQ 8250 watt generator and used the super saver shipping. I was called by the shipper to set up delivery after the holiday weekend. The driver was unable to take his rig up our driveway (350ft 17 degree grade), but helped me load and unload the box in the back of my Forester. The two of us had no problems.

I followed what others had suggested and cut the box down in the driveway. The box provided adequate padding while I assembled the unit. All the parts were present including most of the tools. I found that my own metric socket set was better for the job. As others commented I was surprised to find the "conveyance suspend" tool for hoisting the unit. Finally, there was about 30 minutes of assembly time. The battery (purchased previously from the reviews) took a little longer. The unit was in pristine condition with no problems when delivered.

I filled the fluids and let it sit for five minutes. The generator started up by battery in about five seconds and ran very smoothly. The idle control is a nice addition and will come in handy when charging the batteries, however the voltage is too low (85/170) to really cold start any loads. The pull start is in a very bad position. As others suggested I may move it one screw round.

The noise is 85 Decibels on idle control adjacent to the generator and 93 under load. At 20 feet under load it measured 85. This generator is much quieter than the previous one and should not disturb any of our distant neighbors. As others suggested you could carry on a conversation at about ten feet.

The voltages on the 240 plug measured 123 each for a total of 246 volts. For my purposes, my charging circuit to the transfer switch is about 95 feet away. This should adequately cover any voltage drop in that long circuit. I have not yet measured it under load.

So far I am very happy with the unit and appears to be the best generator for the price available at this time. The battery start will come in useful for my family if there is an extended outage while I'm away. The pull start is the only negative I can see at this time and is something that ETQ should address. I would recommend this generator for those that need backup emergency power.

I do intend to install a whole house service entrance transfer switch in the near future (these things cost more than the generator), and will maintain the battery configuration for the ten critical circuits. It will be interesting to see if the ETQ can handle the inrush on the 30A/240V central air circuit while the batteries power the furnace blower. I will report my findings later.Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).

Where To Buy ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant)

Purchased this to upgrade from a 5kw model. Surprised with the high quality. Started (don't have battery yet) with the first single pull. Very much like the "auto throttle" setting-- when not under load, the generator puts itself into idle which lowers the noise to a barely noticeable level. No battery yet, so I can't comment on the electric start.Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).

Very pleased with everything so far ... ABF shipped 2 days early, called the day before ... backed my pickup to their liftgate and transferred package, shipment in great shape. I live 25 miles away in the mountains and picked an easier drop off point.
Layed box on side on pallets ABF gave me, facillitated wheel/axle/chassis stand assembly; rolled upright, attached handle, checked all bolts from factory, good and tight; attached a 4' 6 guage battery ground cable spiked into the ground; filled the generator with oil and gas, used the rope pull to rotate engine slowly several times to lubricate parts, set choke, flipped on switch, and started imnmediatley with first light pull ... let it run a few minutes to stabalize, flipped on main breaker, plugged in a circular saw and listened as it came to speed with the current draw. Not loud at speed, much quieter than my old Coleman 4 kw industrial.
I have no problem with rope pull location, and upon reading earlier reviews have no need to modify the frame for the rope pull, and may not purchase battery.
Very pleased with the thought put into this generator, from GFCI circuit breakers to included 30 amp RV plug.
I'm anxious to test my 110 volt Plasma cutter ... see if 8,250 Watt surge/7,250 Watt continuous runs it at 8,500 ft altitude.
Wery pleased with product quality, price and shipping, have several projects planned at altitude my older 4,000 Watt generator couln't do. I'll keep you posted.Get more detail about ETQ TG72K12 8,250 Watt 13 HP 420cc 4-Cycle OHV Gas Powered Portable Generator with Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant).
